At One Nine Nine, we try to do business in the right way! From our immediate working environment right through to the services we offer - we’re continually thinking about how we can make our business a positive force for clients, team members and society.
Whether that’s collaborating with clients whose values align with our own or creating strategies and content that creatively articulate ideas centred around sustainability, we strive to showcase ourselves as an ethical and morally responsible business.
That’s why we made the decision to become a Good Business Charter and Living Wage Employee accredited. We recognise how important it is to be held accountable and are delighted that these two organisations are holding us to such high standards.
The Good Business Charter recognises responsible business practices over 10 components crucial to the success of any workplace. These are: real living wage, fairer hours and contracts, employee well-being, employee representations, diversity and inclusion, environmental responsibility, paying fair tax, commitment to customers, ethical sourcing and prompt payments.
The Real Living Wage similarly emphasises the importance of employee wellbeing and is the only UK wage rate that is voluntarily paid by over 7,000 UK businesses who believe their staff deserve not the minimum wage – but instead, one which meets everyday needs. With the rising cost of living, we believe that our staff should be fairly compensated for their hard work and creative ideas are committed to paying the real living wage as an absolute minimum.
We are currently a paperless office, working in a collaborative and inclusive workspace. In addition to our comprehensive and up to date environmental policies, we also offer fair and flexible working hours to allow our staff greater freedom.
We strive to support the communities we work in – whether that’s charity projects, like MakeMasks4Carers, or taking part in industry panels to support young local professionals in the music industry. As we move forwards, we have plans to engage in further charity work, and take initiatives to advance our sustainability within the office and beyond.
We’re proud to work with clients who place sustainability at the heart of their business ethos, and who encourage their own customers to make better, greener choices. These include the global leader in sustainable agriculture, DAABON UK, and Soapworks, the UK’s leading producer of sustainable, bar format toiletries.
Our team also supports sustainable procurement specialists, Gateway Procurement and Axiom sustainability software – as we actively look to work with clients in the sustainability space.
Creating focused campaigns that are backed up by strategy and research, we product concept-driven work that generates results that achieves goals and delivers a return on investment.
