YouTube Announces Removal of ‘Hide Channel Subscriber Counts’ Option
YouTube is said to be removing the ‘hide channel subscriber counts’ option for its users after the platform discovered that the feature is often used by channels impersonating platform stars.
While some users would prefer to hide their subscriber count, eliminating the option could improve the platform’s transparency.
Users now don’t need a separate IGTV app to watch longer videos. The experience is embedded in the main app, accessed via in-feed teasers, a tab of the Explore page, promo stickers in Stories, and profile tabs.
