Threads, Meta’s answer to Twitter, has introduced several new features. These include a ‘Send on Instagram’ option enabling users to share a Thread directly via Instagram’s Direct Messenger, custom Alt Text allowing users to add descriptions to individual photographs, and the capacity to organise followers by most recently followed.

Although these features aren’t exactly new to social media, they are still useful additions to the platform. It will be interesting to see how Threads progresses and whether or not it does become a viable replacement for Twitter/X.
