New additions include the ability to crosspost reels from IG to FB, an ‘Add Yours’ ability, a feature reserved for Stories previously and the ability to turn any post into a reel automatically.
These features reduce the barrier to entry for users to get involved with reels - a feature that instagram is pushing above all others.
Users now don’t need a separate IGTV app to watch longer videos. The experience is embedded in the main app, accessed via in-feed teasers, a tab of the Explore page, promo stickers in Stories, and profile tabs.
