Google is currently testing a new function that will enable users to search for particular sections within a YouTube video using the video’s captions.

We think this could be a great way to simplify the process of searching for specific content within a YouTube video. It does mean, however, that there will be an extra element for creators to consider when uploading content to YouTube; making sure captions are added and accurate.
